MAW SIT-SIT OVAL CABOCHON (BURMA) – 1.70 CT.
Maw Sit-Sit is a complex gem mineral containing chromic jadeite. It’s named for the Burmese/Myanmar village near where it is mined. A by-product of jadeite mining, its rarity and great beauty were appreciated by the local miners and top gemologists and it is gaining greatly in popularity. This cabochon is a variety called Kyet Tayoe, being a lighter apple green with few black streaks. It weighs approx. 1.70 ct. and measures about 8.2 x 10.2 x 2.4 mm. Top-polished only. (All uses, N)
