HOLLEY BLUE CHALCEDONY/AGATE (OREGON, USA) – APPROX. 10 MM. TRILLION
This rare material is found only in Oregon near the city of Holley. It has achieved near-cult status due to its scarcity and the beauty of its glowing blue-to-orchid hue. The source location is no longer available to collecting so stones like this are cut from material found years ago. This lavender-pink 10 mm. trillion weighs 3.58 ct. It has a glistening polish, top and bottom. Holley material is described as either agate or chalcedony because some pieces lack the banding that characterizes agate. This stone shows just a trace of banding. (All uses, N).
