CALIFORNIA POPPY JASPER DESIGNER CABOCHON (U.S.A.) – 17.54 CT.

This bright red stone is from the famous deposit of orbicular “Poppy Jasper” that was mined near Morgan Hill, CA. This stone has only a few orb patterns but has very pleasing color. The deposit hasn’t produced much new material since the 1970s. This cab was cut from an old collection of rough. It measures 26 x 22.7 x 6 mm. and is highly polished front and back.
