RUTILATED “ANGEL HAIR’ QUARTZ DESIGNER CABOCHON (Brazil) – 31 ct.

A designer cabochon I cut to show off the delicate type of golden rutile crystal inclusions called Angel’s Hair. Best in an open back setting to allow passage of light through the stone. This is cut from very old Brazilian rough I found in a collection from the 1950s. This quality is now very hard to find. The cabochon was designed to serve as the focal point for a pendant or necklace. It weighs about 31 ct. and measures approx. 17.1 x 42.6 x 6.5 mm. Very clean. (All uses, N)
