BRIGHT GEM WITH LOVELY HUE
Scapolite is a beautiful gem material but isn’t well known. This Tanzanian stone is a lovely soft yellow with a lot of brilliance due to its superb precision cut. It features a Portuguese-style pavilion with many facets and a checkerboard crown. Weight is approx. 2.58 ct. and it measures about 8.2 x 11.1 x 5.9 mm. I recommend this for use in a pendant or pin instead of a ring due to its 5.5-6 Mohs hardness. (Some Care, N)
