MALAIA/MALAYA GARNET, AMERICAN PRECISION CUT – (Africa) 1.81 ct.

This rare light-toned pyrope-spessartine mixture from Madagascar is called “Imperial Malaya Garnet.” It cuts an extremely bright and showy stone with a definite color shift from pink under a light bulb to more orange-pink in fluorescent. Custom American cutting on this much better than eye clean gem. Approx. 1.81 ct., 5.62 x 7.9 x 4.8 mm. (will fit most 6 x 8 rectangular settings). Very fine stone.  (All uses, N)
