The Koroit area of Australia’s Queensland produces a distinctive type of ironstone/boulder opal. Koroit opal like this with unique markings that suggest ancient Aboriginal art, along with bright traceries of precious opal, is one of my favorite types to cut. Highly polished front and back. It measures approx. 11.5 x 21.2 x 4.5 mm. in a pear shape. (Some care, N)
