FIRE AGATE CABOCHON (Mexico) – 9.29 ct.

This is one of those stones that makes me say “Wow!” The background color is the highly desirable deep brown, almost black, with intense play of color that includes very rare blues. Its palette includes green, purple, orange, yellow, bronze, red and more. The vibrant nearly ultramarine blues are outstanding. It’s a rare stone that has been cut to perfection. The colors are crisp, bright and cover the entire face in tight, intricate patterns. This gem measures approx. 15.2 x 17 x 5.1 mm. A magnificent fire agate! Please forgive the reflection of my overhead lighting -- it seemed to bring out the best in this stone. (All uses, N)
