BRUNEAU JASPER DESIGNER CABOCHON (Idaho, U.S.A.) – 51.33 ct.

This noble porcelain jasper featuring lovely orbicular or “egg” patterns is mined from high on the Bruneau River canyon in Idaho. It became world-famous quickly after its discovery in the mid-1950s but is currently in short supply. This particular stone was mined in the 1960s. Weight: approx. 51.33 ct. Measurements: approx. 38 x 36 x 5.3 mm. Highly polished front and back with medium dome. There’s a very small fracture on the back of the stone that couldn’t be removed without compromising the pattern. It 's shallow and should cause no problem. There are also a few small grinding marks I didn’t notice when polishing which I’ll remove on request.
